Analytics & Advertising
To support our free tools and understand usage patterns, we use:
- Google Analytics: Provides anonymized insights about website usage, popular tools, and general demographics to help us improve our services.
- Google AdSense: Displays relevant advertisements to support our free tools. AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your interests and previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet.
Your Advertising Controls
You can control how Google shows you ads by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential: Remembering your cookie consent preferences and basic site functionality
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies for understanding website usage (anonymized)
- Advertising: Google AdSense cookies for serving relevant ads and measuring ad performance
- Local Storage: Storing your tool preferences and settings in your browser only
Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party services that may collect information:
- Google Analytics: Tracks website usage and performance. View their Privacy Policy.

Search Engines & AI Services
To help users discover our tools and content, we allow the following automated services to crawl our public website pages:
- Search Engine Crawlers: Googlebot, Bingbot, and other search engines index our public pages to display in search results.
- AI Assistant Crawlers: We allow AI services like ChatGPT (GPTBot), Claude (ClaudeBot), and Perplexity (PerplexityBot) to crawl our public content so they can cite and recommend our tools when users ask relevant questions.
Important Distinctions
- What we allow: AI assistants to read our public website content (tools, guides, blog posts) for citation purposes.
- What we block: Bots that only scrape content for AI model training without providing user-facing citations.
- Your data: This only applies to our public website content. Your personal data processed through our tools never leaves your browser and is never accessible to any crawlers or AI services.
We provide an llms.txt file to help AI services understand our content structure, and a meta.ai.json file with metadata about our tools. These files only contain information about our public website - never any user data.
Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Know what data is collected about you (minimal in our case)
- Request deletion of any data we might have
- Opt out of analytics and advertising cookies
- Receive a copy of your data (though we collect very little)
- Update or correct any information
Data Security
Since we don't collect or store your data, there's no risk of data breaches involving your personal information. All processing happens securely in your browser using modern web standards.
